Basic Sudoko Rules
Sudoko is a logic based game that first launched only a couple of decades ago. It uses a 9x9 grid most of the times (there are many variations) that need to be filled with the numbers from one to nine. As mentioned above the game consists of a nine by nine grid, which means that you have nine columns and nine rows. In addition to the rows and columns, inside the grid there are smaller three by three sub grids that are usually called regions and that is what we will call them from now on. Some of the boxes inside the grid contain numbers (1-9). The ultimate goal of the puzzle game is to fill all the boxes with numbers from one to nine. Of course, you just can't fill the boxes with any number you like (that would be too easy don't you think?). You have to fill the boxes with numbers so that all of the nine columns, rows and regions contain all of the numbers from one up to nine and none of these numbers more than once. So this all there is to it not very complicated is it?
However, as I mentioned above there are many variations of the sudoko game. For example one may replace the numbers with other characters like letters, since the numbers are used only for convenience and because this is how the game was first created. This of course means that there isn't any mathematic formula that will help you solve sudoko puzzles. Logical reasoning is your biggest ally in your effort to solve the various sudoko puzzles. It should also be mentioned that there isn't just one level of difficulty of sudoko puzzles. The difficulty can vary substantially, there are puzzles that are very easy to solve and others that might drive you crazy trying to solve them.
As you can see the rules of sudoko are really simple and can be summarized in the phrase "Fill all the boxes so that all of the nine columns, rows and regions contain all of the numbers from one up to nine and none of these numbers more than once."
Scanning, marking up, and analyzing is the major strategy for solving the Japanese puzzle. Remember patience and logic are your best friends. So it's now time to start playing Sudoko
